Rates and Extended Health Information
How Much Does It Cost to See a Naturopathic Doctor?
Most of our visit fees are listed on our Jane online booking page. Lab tests, injectable treatments, and product costs are not listed online—please call our reception team for up-to-date pricing.
Is Naturopathic Medicine Covered by the B.C. Medical Services Plan (MSP)?
Naturopathic consultations are not covered under the B.C Medical Services Plan and are billed privately. However, some coverage may be available if you are on MSP Income Assistance or are First Nations (see below).
Payment Options and Extended Health Coverage
We accept cash, debit, Visa, E transfer and MasterCard. Many extended health care plans provide coverage for naturopathic services.
Please note:
-
Lab tests and dispensary items are not eligible for direct billing
-
Cosmetic services are not covered by insurance
-
Reduced rates are available for seniors (65+), full-time college/university students (with valid ID), and individuals on income assistance (documentation required)
Coverage Through MSP Income Assistance
If you qualify for MSP Premium Assistance or are First Nations, you may be eligible for limited coverage. MSP may reimburse up to $23 per visit for up to 10 visits per calendar year. This coverage includes a combination of services such as: Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy and Non-surgical Podiatry. To learn more or check eligibility, visit the MSP Claims Information page.
Direct Billing
We’re pleased to offer direct billing for many extended health insurance plans to help make your visit as seamless as possible. Currently, we support direct billing with a wide range of providers, including (subject to change): Telus Health, Canada Life (including PSHCP), Manulife, Pacific Blue Cross, Green Shield, Chambers of Commerce, ClaimSecure, Equitable Life, GroupHealth, GroupSource, Johnson Inc., RWAM, GMS (Express Scripts), BPA, Maximum Benefits, Peoples Corporation, and the Canadian Construction Workers Union.
Please note that not all insurance plans allow for direct billing, and some may require you to pay upfront and submit your receipts for reimbursement. This is determined by the terms of your individual plan and is beyond our control. If you're unsure about your coverage or billing options, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly for clarification. Direct billing is available exclusively for consultation fees. It does not apply to cosmetic services, missed appointment fees, lab tests (which are often covered but not eligible for direct billing), dispensary items, injectable solutions, in-clinic test fees, or administrative services such as form or letter completion. We offer direct billing for many insurance companies, if your plan allows it. If direct billing is not available or doesn’t go through at the time of your visit, payment is required in full. You’ll receive a detailed invoice which can also be accessed through your Jane account for easy submission to your provider. We appreciate your understanding and are here to help make the process as smooth as possible.
